Dragonball is a Japanese Animation, or Anime. It is the most popular anime in the world, it it also the longest running animation. If all of the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragonball GT epsidos are added, there are well over 500.

Dragon Ball was continued for 10 years, beginning in 1984. In 1994, Dragon Ball Z came to a close. Dragon Ball GT was a continuation of the series. As a result, DBGT just doesn't have the old Dragon Ball zing, and is also aimed towards a different audience.
